lyrics
Up ahead, after all this time there's a light.
It's not just in my head, imagine that.
It's right there in plain sight.
There's no way I could have known it would come,
had to trust and carry on.
Through faded, foggy days, a hapless stormy haze
I had to fight.
Sail on, with or without wind
Sail on, with or without an end in sight
Sail on, through your darkest night
Cause you can fight the sea or you can breathe, and sail on
It's not my natural way to lay down in the middle of a squall.
No, I clench my fists and resist the rain,
I resist it all.
See naturally what comes to me
may not be what I need to move ahead, move on.
I make over my mind, look inside, trust the tides,
bless the odyssey I'm on
Sail on, with or without wind
Sail on, with or without an end in sight
Sail on, through the darkest night
You can fight the sea or you can breathe, And sail on
I've been unsteady at best
But you're gonna make a sailor of me yet
Sail on, with or without wind
Sail on, with or without an end in sight
Sail on, through the darkest night
You can fight the sea or you can breathe, And sail on
Take one part bohemian and one part brass knuckles, stir in some wanderlust, simmer at 100° in Texas weather for 30 something years. Remove from heat and let chill. Serve Bekah Kelso with a folk-hop twist, relax and enjoy.
Wonderful album. I love the departure from your usual sound. I'm fully in love with the first half of the album and kinda wish the second half was a bit louder/faster. And I must say, only Sooj could somehow get me to like an EDM/dub step song. boingoloid

I walked away from playing music ten years ago, disgusted with music and myself. SJ Tucker's songs have played no small part in bringing me back in a truly strange yet beautiful way. The blisters on my fingers and the gloom in my heart are nearly healed. I sat down my new acoustic guitar to write a comment about some heavy medicine and now I'm going to get back to my therapy. I can't thank you enough SJ! Keep up the good work! roddylloyd
